ABOUT CONCENCABA
Founded in 1926, the Confederation of Central America and the Caribbean Basketball (CONCENCABA) is a body of FIBA Americas with mirrored powers and responsibilities for its geographic region.
CONCENCABA recognizes the superior authority of FIBA and FIBA Americas.
Subject to the overriding authority of FIBA and FIBA Americas, CONCENCABA is the only competent authority to promote the practice of basketball and to organize competitions within the Sub-Zone of Central America and the Caribbean.
Currently, the National Member Federations assigned to CONCENCABA by the FIBA Central Board are: Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Virgin Islands.
The Centrobasket Championships are FIBA-sponsored international basketball tournaments where national teams from Central America (COCABA) and the Caribbean (CBC) participate. The top three or four Men and Women’s National teams typically earn berths to the FIBA AmeriCups, from which they can qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup or the Summer Olympics.

Caribbean Basketball Confederation CBC
The Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) was preceded by the former Caricom Basketball Confederation, founded in 1981 with the inclusion of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands in 2000.
National Member Federations assigned to CBC are: Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Virgin Islands.
Central America Basketball Confederation COCABA
The Central America Basketball Confederation (COCABA) was founded in 1999 comprising of seven (7) National Federations with the inclusion of Belize in 2000. National Member Federations assigned to COCABA are: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama.
